i drifted on xbox AC in my logitech g29 for a ton of hours before i had a fancy setup, now i have pc and DD setup and i think im able to fully appreciate everything AC has to offer

Well, I'm finally buying it. It's $1.99 on Steam right now. Already feel regret since there's a newer version out but, I mean, hey... It's $2. I'll play it a few times and never play again lol. I don't have sim racing gear, just flight sim gear (full HOTAS and Track IR) for DCS: World. To me, NOTHING can compete with that, they use it to train US pilots on the A-10C and Germans on the Mirage, among other nations. MS Flight Simulator doesn't hold a candle to DCS: World with weapons systems and fighter jets (not to mention, WWII planes and all the armaments). I tend to find myself playing more F1 23 or Forza Motorsport for fun racing because the graphics are nice. I don't dump money into a gaming PC to play 10 year old games with PS2 graphics, but yeah, figured I'd see what the hype was about. And YOU guys should watch some DCS vids. If you've never heard of it, it'll blow your mind. You literally learn how to start up, for example, a UH-1H helicopter (Huey) or an F/A-18C, or F-14 Tomcat or A-10C or... well, I won't name them all. Every switch, knob and dial to start up, to learning take off procedures, autopilot, real life fighting maneuvers. You can learn from watching ACTUAL air for pilots play the game. Unfortunately, they can't give away all their secrets, but just their BASIC knowledge blows your mind and makes you a god among men in this game. The graphics are spectacular, and it takes a BEASTLY rig to run it well. You'll want 32GB RAM because you'll push upwards of 25-28GB RAM usage in game... if not more, really, because the maps are HUGE. There are missions made by the devs and community where you can play solo or with friends, or servers to join where it's red vs blue or whatever and you're flying over hundreds or over a thousand miles in any direction, through mountains and hills... Man, I just can't get into it all on here. It is THE BEST simulator for men. And don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE cars. Hence why I like racings games/sims. I can actually drive a car and have a nice car. I can NEVER have a plane/jet/helicopter haha. It also supports VR if you can handle it.

You have try GT7 stock Fiat 500F at Alsace Village Test track reverse. Half the cars can't climb the hill.

Before the update i had 40 fps in lowest settings 1440p. I have an rx 7800 xt and an i7 8700k. I know its an old cpu but still..... 40 fps is really bad. Going to try it out now and see how it runs.

As long as the modding community is on board with it it stands a chance. It has to cater to such a wide audience that some groups will feel left out at launch no matter what though. Maybe drifting will feel wrong or maybe it'll be impossible to add traffic or maybe VR will have problems... They will get flack from some angry mob even if they get many things right.

Went to the classic a couple of weeks ago and that was awesome. Going to the 24h as well this year. It's a great day out.

If you ever watched Le Mans then you should know how aggressively drivers attack the curbs and have side to side close moments... And just like that UA-camrs simply overrated fake reviews who try to compare Le Mans environment from this game to another game. The game looks fantastic even if you cry all those minutes... Get some job at least.

I’d be content with just scenarios! But, it feels like flight sim nerds (like many sim racing nerds) like to gatekeep the best stuff from the commercial masses… It’s the most hardcore sim group out there I’m convinced.

Much like AC and ACC it will release in early access, and it will be half finished and everyone will complain as it will be a bug ridden mess. 12 months after that though, it will likely be the best sim ever made

But my long-running joke to other sim racing channels at the time, was something along the lines of "yeah, nice Hotlap time, but I could still take you in my Abath 500", hahahaha... ;P P.S. It was such a long-running gag - that one channel was even kind enough to make me a special one of a kind SingleRacer Abarth Skin... [;]-)

I honestly didn't want to comment but you said that "art is subjective" right after saying "It looks like crap". That shit actually pisses me off, yes art is subjective and if you agree you shouldn't make an objective statement about it. And nobody forces you to like the livery. I think it looks good, you don't and that't perfectly fine. Don't fucking pretend that you have to like it because it's art.

Best online racing I've ever had (outside of... Wreckfest competitive lobbies) was with Piaggio 3 wheelers on Algavre/Portimao. Sims allow you to do all kinds of dumb fun things. There's little to no reason to go racing GT3s for the n-th time in every game.

Cool one lap race. Assetto Corsa does have some unique race vehicles to choose from. That is what makes AC1 so great a game now. I don't see how AC 2 can top this game other than having Rolling starts and being able to race with AI cars in the practice mode - AC 1 does not have these features Great video. Take care..

I really hait clickbait titles like this, people like you waste peoples time by telling them obvious things. The devs said just recently that VR is confirmed and they showed a screenshot, that's it! Meanwhile you're here with clickbait titles like that.

In most cases, VR wins hands down. All because of one crucial thing. And that is where ur pointing at in reality is exactly where ur pointing at in game. Try pointing at 3 objects around u consecutively. U won't miss. Why? Cuz that's sth thats built into us naturally. Because if u do, there's sth very wrong with u n u need to go see a doctor immediately. It's sth that even a baby can do. while on the other hand mouse may also be fairly easy to use, it's still not as natural as pointing at sth in real life. U still can't tell how much u move the mouse on the mousepad translate to how much your crosshair moves on the screen. It's sth that the pros poured dozens of hours into practicing it so that they can get very familiar with the translation between mouse movement and screen movement. It takes effort. But on the plus side, nth beats the mouse when it comes to turning. U can never turn as quickly as a flick of the wrist. Not with your controller nor your twisting waist. And yes, unlike VR, mouse is stable when ur not moving it. So much so that some flat games implemented artificial shake to the in game guns to mimic reality. Another thing that's more of a con than pro in VR is u only see small portion of the screen because it's so close to your face. And anything that's in your view that ur not looking directly at, u can never notice they are there unless they move. Which is why camping in VR fps is much more effective than doing so in flat version. Sometimes even my friend spotted the enemies for me while watching my gameplay on my monitor cuz he can see my entire view on a tiny screen. And one more thing that m&k players can absolutely stomp VR players is sniper. Sniping in VR is just...trash. But if two platforms were to clash, I still think VR will outperform mouse&keyboard in most cases. And that's coming from a guy who plays PC games for nearly 30 years and VR about 5 years. It's obvious when u play games like doom 3 and left4dead 2 on both platforms and u will notice that u can never beat your own VR score with mouse & keyboard doesn't matter how hard u try.

It's already the best waiting for loading screens and restarting your PC every 20 minutes simulator on the market. Nothing else out there gives you that experience as well as this game does. 5/5 stars.

Hey man I am getting a steal of a deal on this exact setup. I'm a first time sim racer with a PS5, therefore I'm struggling to decide which I will enjoy more - F1 or ACC. I'm leaning toward ACC bc I think it offers more diversity. Any thoughts or recommendation would be appreciated 🙏🏽

I want to click a button and have a ranked scheduled race. How about picking on acc for coming out after iracing and still not having this? The reason people are in iracing is because everyone else is on iracing, and the reason everyone else is on iracing is because its completely seamless to get in a race. Even rfactor 2 added this recently. I want the community to get off iracing, it would be better for my wallet. The move here is to absolutely go off on every other sim developer that still hasnt figured out basic matchmaking. Way to go guys, youve cracked vehicle physics just to let it wallow in obscurity because you forgot to add a "race now" button.
